How is someone that powerful a Spider-Man villain?
Morlun's potential wasnt fully shown when he first appeared. He wasnt going all out against Pete. But even then Spider-man only managed to hold his own for some time. He was unable to do any damage to Morlun. In their very first fight Pete compared Morlun to Hulk physically. In his later appearance Morlun was shown ripping though adamantium net like it was made of paper.

Durability 02:
"Morlun--Devourer of Totems-- has come to feast in T'Challa, like a lion on a wounded Caribou. And thus far, he's proved unstoppable.""We have thrown missiles at him. Mortars and bombs. Laser cannons, vibraniumcore nuclear-tipped shells. air and ground assaults."
"We haven't even slowed his approach."
Support for the feat above.
Healing Factor: Heals in 1 panel.
Strength: Tears apart an adamantium net.
Strength/Exotic: Literally walks through a door and rips apart 2 guards with a simple swipe of his backhand.

Ah.
The hand is pretty powerful no doubt, but I don't know if it's enough to put down a guy like this.
One thing it is good at, though, is dealing with magical enemies that are considered "unnatural", so maybe he has a shot there; I just don't know a whole lot about Morlun.
