Practising doctors

Is it just me or are other people concerned that whenever you are ill and need to have an operation, you have to go and see a practising surgeon!!! I mean what's wrong with seeing a fully qualified time-served one instead of one who is still practising. ❌

Speaking of doctors.

I have this lump sensation in my throat that wont go away. I dont have anything stuck in it, they say its stress related. Anyone have that problem?

Gosh yes. Ever felt like you are having a heart attack as well?

What I want to know is, when people say you should go get professional psychiatric help, does this mean there are large bunches of amateur ones going around giving bad advice?

The Dr. told me to get professional psychiatric help aswell.
I guess by that they mean going to one in person and not resorting to interent support groups for your theraphy.

Do you get panic attacks?
I got one last week, it brought about this pain in the ass lump!

Mrs.MM had a stress related throat thing a few years back.....quinzies or something like that it was called. Made her very bad indeed.

Used to get panic attacks a lot when I took disco biscuits, they're gone now. I just freak out sometimes in my sleep, apparently. 😕

Tex, if it is stress related, short of dying, I have probably been through it at least mildly. I have had a fair few 'episodes' in these last 8 and a half years.

Horrible.

This lump in the throat thing is a dilema. They say its caused by stress and that you should work to relieve it, but the lump itself causes you 10x as much stress as you would normally have.

I'm just going to have to cope with it.

How do you cope with all your health problems Ush?

Running around and screaming and having the occasional 'episode'. Also lusting after a variety of women that I inevitably freak out.

That said, Edna was very understanding and helpful...

My brother has a friend who oncw went to the Doctor's complaining about lumps on the back of his tongue; turned out to be his taste buds.

Wow, the same thing happened to one of the girls who I work with. She took her young daughter for the same reason!
