Not sure the full extent of what current superboy can do. He seems he has some fairly exotic powers and is deadly and seems more ruthless than his older self.

Also does anyone know that the powers superboy is using is a projection of his TK?

Well it seems to me they thought it would be better to just get rid of the tactile telekinesis stuff they had him using for strength before to make him into a highly formidable tk user, which DC is somewhat lacking in at present.
