It didn't just crack Exitar's armor, it broke his brain dome casing which is a tougher substance. The explosion created by the God Blast was also large (Exitar is over 20,000 feet right? Pretty impressive radius that.) and powerful enough to stun him momentarily.
As powerful as the Celestials were, that's the next best thing to God Blasting like a non-jobbing Eternity and affecting him.
I wish a writer explored Thor's potential (San's Odin Force) or whatever. If his walking around with that much energy inside of him, it'd be interesting to see what he could do with some practice. I don't think I've ever seen Thor do any sort of training outside of some teenage sword shenanigans. Even Hulk/Superman have practiced and increased their capabilities.

That's stupid. The God Blast one shotted Zelia (She wouldn't even acknowledge planet destroying attacks), had Galactus flee in fear of his life (In that very same comic, Ego unleashed a blast that destroyed entire planets and IIRC Galactus didn't even notice it), and broke Exitar's dome (Planetary force isn't even on the radar). It also cracked Mjolnir which is far beyond planetary.
You need to look in the higher Skfather tier if you want to trump the power output the God Blast can unleash.
