Real talk? It's seems hideous to me, because it seems a bit cannibalistic. A very good friend of mine gave birth, and breast fed her daughter. One day I went by, and we got into a conversation about the subject, and she offered me a cup of her breast milk. I was disgusted. However if I had to make a choice as to which I would consume between breast milk, and diarrhea, I would certainly choose the milk.
Our aversion to human milk is possibly the result of centuries of using non-human milk. At some point, the human milk became the "weird" thing I guess.
I think the "aversion" to breast milk from humans is probably more of a result of how inconvenient it would be to produce on an industrial scale.
Dairy cows have been selectively bread to produce far more milk than an animal would in the wild. Also, afaik, women only produce breast milk during pregnancy/child rearing.
