The Grey

Has anybody seen this yet?? I want to see it at some point... just to see Liam Neeson being a badass. It's gotten pretty good reviews (79% so far).

"The Grey is an exciting tale of survival, populated with fleshed-out characters and a surprising philosophical agenda."

YouTube video

Yeah, i saw this the other day. It's a damn decent survival movie. I wouldn't say it is as gripping as i was expecting but the characters, dialogue and action sequences will keep you intrigued for sure. I just didn't feel that the ending offered much resolve for the main character. Definitely worth a watch. I'd give it a 7/10

Can't see it yet damn different release dates.

this one I think i will wait till it comes out on cable to see.

Meh, Anthony Hopkins did it with a bear.

Wow, just wow. This is a great movie. I thought it was just going to be a fun popcorn film with Liam Neeson killing dozens of wolves - which I would have been happy with - but the film is SO much more. A very philosophical man vs nature story that is really about men coming to terms with how they lived, and ultimately choosing how they die. It's even more amazing that his is written and direct by the guy who did the A Team and Smoking Aces.

That said the movie has a real indie mentality, if you are going to movie to see Liam Neeson murder wolves, you might be disappointed. It's more Hemming Way than Predators. There were a lot of people in my theater who were very vocal with their dislike of the ending, but I thought it was perfect and largely assume those are the people who show up to see Fast and the Furious on opening night. When you watch the movie, watch the movie you are seeing, not the movie you were expecting.

hmmm, your commentary has somewhat swayed me.

I will view this film if Robtard views it first and tells me it is safe. 😐

Fighting wolves...sounds kind of manly I suppose. 😐

Perhaps the great and powerful Robtard should pay attention to the consensus from Rotten Tomatoes that I posted in the first post of the thread, because srank simply confirmed it.

Kinda got me thinking...what if Neeson was casted as Wolverine?

Old Man logan.

Just read Joe Carnahan is planning on remaking Death Wish, But instead of just remaking the franchise which starred Charles Bronsan he's gonna to us the novel more.

This film could've ended after the 1st wolf attack because it just repeated the exact same scene until most of the people were dead.

Horrendously boring and filled to the brim with an unbelievable amount of CIS and PIS that you simply cannot overlook how glaringly bad it is.

It repeats the same loud noise scare tactic about a million times in the movie...Almost always preceded by an artificially stupid mute scene that last about 5 seconds...Or a flash back to him lying in bed with his wife that is shown about 20 times where she says "don't be afraid"...then BOOOM....Big noise.

The special effects are dire and you know how bad when the film "Alive" had a much more tense and griping and realistic crash scene than this did and that was made 19 years ago.

Avoid like the plague...Absolutely shite film.

I saw this movie and i enjoyed it. I think you guys should watch this movie. This is movie is full with Action and Adventure.

I can honestly only assume that this is a complete joke of a "review". This isn't even an opinion I'm offended by, it's just factually wrong in almost every way, meaning I feel as though I can safely assume you didn't even watch the movie.

Agree with above

either that or he has the worst taste in movies

think whatever you like. I'm right and you're wrong. shit, boring movie, get over it.

Tried watching it last Sunday after The Walking Dead; I couldn't get past 30mins or so, when the uber-wolf stared down Liam Neeson, I called it quits.
