Nah, I'll vouch for Naruto. Even though the fights have been going on a long time, stuff happens regularly. Stuff of significant. There's none of these dead chapters where nothing happens but time wasting. Either something gets unveiled or the situation changes a lot or we learn something... it'll certainly read better in trade format rather than week-to-week, but in trade format it'll still feel like plenty's happening.
I don't care how it all reads if you breeze through all the chapters in one go.
If a manga can not sustain itself on the weekly format with which it is released, it's a bad manga.
Naruto took an irredeemable shitdive for terrible when Kaguya became the main villain, and nothing that's happened since then has changed that.

Bleach chapters needs to be read in chunks. Not on a one-a-week basis.
I usually forget just wtf is going on when the next chapter arrives.
The Vandendreich are actually proving themselves to be rather formidable so far. And Kubo's made their abilities more varied than he did with the Arrancar or the Shinigami.
Originally posted by NephthysTo be fair you're so biased against Bleach that it could be about Rukia and Orihime like, opening up a shoe store or whatever it is you're into and you'd think it was dog shit. Bleach is at the best it's been since Soul Society.
I've been liking Naruto so far. One Piece is also going through one of the craziest and "best" arcs so far.Bleach is still utter dogshit.
Naruto is crap, and One Piece might even be worse if only because, while I can hate on Naruto, current One Piece provokes no reaction from me whatsoever. I just don't care about any of these boring, irrelevant characters. Also Oda is unfunny.

I actually think Bleach reads better on a chapter by chapter basis than the others though. Or at least it has been.
The Vandenreich are far better villains than the Arrancars ever were though, and Yhwach makes Aizen look like even more shit than he already is.

I gotta admit, yea. Not in some prior arcs (Deicide, Fullbringers), but *this* one. Kubo ends most chapters with a reveal or a cliffhanger or some dramatic moment.
Bleach really falls apart in the long-term pacing, but, say, the Fake Town arc, it was fun seeing all the Vice-Captains do their thing for awhile, and this reminds me of that. I expect to lose interest again at some point, but it's fun popcorn manga, so to speak.

Strongly disagree on both of those. Overall story counts a ton in my book. And, additionally, it's not *boring* even in week-to-week, so it's not too bad in that area anyway IMO.
Actually- what's so bad about Kaguya anyway? She hasn't been around that long, and I find her a nice break from Madara and Juubi.

One dimensional villain who came out of nowhere. Personally her appearance without foreshadowing makes perfect sense when one considers that Black Zetsu was messing with history. So I kinda like that aspect of the character but personally I'm neutral.
