Population Control ( this is not a conspiracy thread)
Okay lets say there is Great evidence That the world will collaps in 20 years due to over population and the human race will end because of it.
1. What do you think governments would do?
2. They were wrong and it will collaps in just 5 years, what would they do?
3. Would hitler like genocides start to happen in countries?
4. Will normal citizens start to kill each other to reduce population?
i think first civil war and then genocidal government coups. this assuming catastrophes force humanity to fight over resources for survival as opposed to luxury.
9/11 brought enough fear and hatred to have a large portion of the u.s. calling for nuclear genocide, and this was the result of a few thousand dead and no dramatic personal threat. more so, people can turn pretty evil when they think they're going to die soon if they dont.
Do you have such evidence? If not, this is a rather pointless and unamusing hypothetical. And if you do, this is a conspiracy thread.
Lastly, all of our opinions on this matter are basically worthless. Even legitimate psychologists or historians would be stabbing in the dark. Only a handful of very specialized experts in the world might be able to answer these questions with something resembling statistical likelihood.

Commendable, I suppose, in a sense, but we don't share that desire. I am much more concerned with what we can know, and what knowledge is practical and statistically observable. Guessing at hypotheticals with more variables than any of us can count is an exercise in futility, imo. Potentially useful as mind-expanding thought experiments, perhaps, but not as a means to determining anything factual or useful.

massive crackdown on economic freedoms, end of international trade, rations, strictly enforced rules of who gets what resource, increased police and military presence/powers
until there was no longer enough resources to maintain that, then the state would fall

depopulation control would be enacted. Governments would outlaw procreation and limit it to the elite. Dont think it can happen...,give the Government control over your healthcare and see what happens when you need hearth cathider or an inhaler. They're not going to be given to you if you dont have cadillac insurance. The gomment wont pay because the gomment dont care. gomment is ruled by politicians and they're all corrupt when a brave man speak the truth...,they shoot him down. it's all going as according to plan, so dont worry your pretty little heads. lol just F8&kin with you guys i know, but seriously there would be laws on procreation if that ever bacsme a problem.
