Galactus is one of the essential beings of the universe along with Eternity, Death, etc... I think he represents Entropy.
He for sure isn't Entropy. That's one of Eternity's children. Entropy along with his 6 siblings are Marvel's knockoff versions of the Endless (Marvel calls them the "Friendless"😉. Just like the Endless all had names beginning with "D"'s the Friendless have names all beginning with "E"'s.
In fact Galactus, according to Anomaly/Maelstrom, isn't an abstract/concept at all. Just a powerful cosmic being.

There's a lot of evidence pointing otherwise.
E.g. the fact that Galactus is a fusion of Galan and that abstract embodiment of the previous universe.
Or that he represents balance, and is the balancing point between the major abstracts.
One writer's opinion is just that, an opinion. Other writers have offered their own differing views.
