Bad Ass

n the film, decorated Vietnam hero Frank Vega returns home only to get shunned by society leaving him without a job or his high school sweetheart. It's not until forty years later when an incident on a commuter bus (where he protects an elderly black man from a pair of skin heads) makes him a local hero where he's suddenly celebrated once again.

Danny Trejo got Hollywood's attention when he was serving time for... I think selling drugs? or possession of an ass-ton of cocaine? He was in a lot of gangs both when he was a kid and when he got into prison - most if not all of his tattoos are from his prison years. He got attention for the way he looked - damn ugly. But he looked like a tough gangster dude. He was teaching guys how to fight on sets, and then he went from teaching to having small roles, to having bigger and bigger roles. He was an official character actor, but now it looks like he's got two title roles under his belt...

As much as I like Ron Pearlman, he seems to be having alot of roles lately as the head bad-guy. Whether b-grade movies or high budget ones, he's been doing a lot of cliched roles of late.

This looks like B-movie gold... 😆

Cept for when he's working with Guillermo Del Toro.

The story sounds great. I will surely try to watch this.
