USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

All... of... us? He must have a very large office.

I wonder why Doctor Tule, is irritated...

I meant to find out how many prisoners or otherwise- ODC-1 is holding.

Probably because he thinks we're going to mess up all his work.

May just be that we are imposing on his valuable time. We should find out exactly what Thules job is here (unless that has already been covered).

Irritated? Mmmmmm.......

Iffa will let Roan speak but continue to scan Thule for changes in emotion.

As it happens, he DOES have a big office. It is wood panelled and all around the walls are framed certificates of qualifications and awards Dr. Thule has received.

"Now I must say," says Dr. Thule, "I do not think this visit is a very good idea."

"Why not?" Denzral queries already having guessed several reasons.

"Two reasons. First, your meeting with the prisoner Saar can only serve to destabilise him further., Isolation is the only sensible treatment for the likes of him. Secondly, a mindset like his will have no intention of providing you with useful information."

Pretty much as he figured. "As I thought, and in any other situation I would likely agree, however..." Denzral looked at Roan. "Are there any other prisoners on this station, Doctor?"

"This facility has been designed to hold large numbers of inmates. If we could confine our discussions to the matter at hand, that would be appreciated."

"Of course." Denzral nods curtly, and shuts up. (I fear if I continue this discussion I'll just muck it up on people)

why not just get to the point with him? No need to agitate him further by wasting his time, no?

"The Jedi Council feels they have reason to believe that Saar will be able to aid us, although it may be abstract," Jelena says. "We understand that we're interrupting your work here, Dr. Thule, but he may be able to assist us in bringing to justice more like himself."

Rio Rast will look over Thule's diplomas and framed papers. He doesn't care much for Thule's irritation. He knows what they are doing is serving a greater good.

"Yes I am aware of the Council's feelings on the matter, and it seems we have agreed to allow access- but be clear. This is my station and all prisoners here are my responsibility. I can remove that access whenever I like, and I shall do so if I feel your presence is causing any harm.."

Pretty high class stuff, Rast. He has degree and doctorates from institutions the gaalxy over.

"We will do everything within our power to avoid causing problems," Jelena says. "Perhaps you should brief us on Saar's current state and how we can avoid aggravating it, aside from avoiding him."

"He's quiet enough right now; he always is. Free of outside distractions, he has some hope of achieving... if not sanity, as such, then some measure of calm. Any external stimulus is bad for him. He's obsessed with analysing data."

"Why is Saar's mental well being so important?" Wentar asks. "I understand you'd prefer to keep him docile, but what are the consequences if our visit destabilizes him?"

"I'm sorry, you are a Jedi, aren't you?" asks Dr. Thule. "You do represent the law and civilisation, yes? We have certain standards in our democratic Republic about how we treat prisoners, hmm? No prisoner loses his basic sentient rights. His mental well-being is my responsibility."

Wentar bites his lip resisting the urge to correct Thule, since technically he isn't a Jedi.

"My apologies, spend enough time on the Outer Rim and you forget there are places where prisoners do get looked after quite well," Wentar says, hoping to calm Thule down. "Has Saar's mental stability improved since he came here?"

Well held- throwing around you not being a Jedi would not have gone down well.

"'Stable' is the word," says Thule. "He can never become truly functional, but an arrest of his journey to total breakdown can be effected."
