250,000 years ago, Doomsday fought/killed Mayhem (Darkseid's uncle):

Doomsday fights/kills an ancient Green Lantern, evolves immunity to said energies, takes his ring, and begins heading for Oa--killing hundreds of Lanterns and injuring a thousand more in the process:

After the events of DoS, Cyborg Superman attached Doomsday to an asteroid and hurled him into deep space:

Doomsday was eventually found by Apokoliptians, and ultimately crash landed on Apokolips itself:

Darkseid was willing to abandon Apokolips in fear of Doomsday's rampage.

Doomsday tanks the Omega Effect and proceeds to own Darkseid to a degree which, at the time, was unprecedented (and it only took DD 4 punches to do so):
