Quasar vs. Black Adam

Who wins here ? Forum rules ?

Adam. Quantum bands are ineffectual against magic IIRC.

Quasar ftw.

Well, I understand what you are talking about, but since he HAS been able to fight magical/mystical foes with this powers, could you show me examples of Quasars powers being ineffectual against magic-based characters?
Offensively or defensively.

Quasar's power cannot manipulate the magic in Adam. That's the only negating effect in this case.
Everything else still applies. Quasars defenses and attacks are all completely effective.
He just can't control Adam's source of power.

Who has he defeated in the category of adam in term of strength and speed? Adam has owned alan scott many times before, a similar and more powerful character than quasar.

Dude, Black Adam STOMPS. Not only is his power source something Quasar can't affect, but he's strong enough to destroy Quasar's quantum structures (see the Gladiator/Quasar fight during the Starblast! story arc).

Adam 10/10 unless Quasar BFRs him into the Quantum Zone (can Adam travel interdimensionally?).

This.

Adam punches his face off.

Teth wins.

Quasar can contol energy, right? Well, he will control Adam's life force, ftw!

I've heard the arguments for Alan being above Quasar. But, I'm still on the fence.

An Ode to Quasar... nerd

So, I'm hanging out, right? Looking at some old books and thinking about tough comic book characters. You know, I mean REALLY tough comic book characters.

Because, well, I was LUCKY enough to have REALLY knowledgeable comic book readers tel me that Quasar was not "peak" for the Marvel list. So, I thought I would look around for other character feats.

Because, also, Quasars "cosmic" feats didn't seem to impress anybody much.

So, back to the REALLY powerful characters... Then, I am wondering, where could I find a bunch of those characters in one place? You know, really cutting loose!

Then, it dawns on me... Quasar #38! Yeah.

So, I am paging through the book, and man, there are a lot of powerful characters in it, all ready to go to war! Next thing I know, I am kind of worried about them. I hope they don't hurt each other.

Because, they were, you know, going nuts! Wanting to KILL.

You had Drax with the Power Gem.
There was Thor with Mjolnir.
Hercules and Prof Hulk.
I saw Thanos and Wonder Man.
And, of course, Adam Warlock, the Thing, Jean Grey and She-Hulk.
Also, I'm not sure, is that X-Man, Nova, Invisible Woman and Sasquatch?
Even Logan, with his funny little Adamantium Claws. So cute, hehe.

Anyway, it's a good thing Quasar was there. Everybody was going insane, so it was very lucky that Quasar was able to EASILY nullify the entire mob, while having a nice casual conversation with Captain America.

Oh, here, let me show you...

As you can see here, Thanos is finally able to add his power to everybody else's and break the shield Quasar had been creating, while he had a nice talk with Cap.

I guess it was just a matter of getting all of those characters to work together, to break Quasars shield. Team work, you know? roll eyes (sarcastic)

And, then this could have been nasty... Thanos was gonna smash Hulk and Thing together like a couple of coconuts! They just weren't strong enough to resist Thanos.

So, it is a good thing that Quasar was able to put a barrier between them that was strong enough to nullify Thanos's strength, without hurting them. Good Job Q!

big grin

Yeah, it was some good reading.

That was a high showing. Other issues have his bubble being shattered by three or four subpar Shiar Imperial Guard members : Magik, Impulse, Manta, and Hussar (?).
http://marvel.wikia.com/Quasar_Vol_1_32
(the other Imperial Guard aren't really there, they are illusions created by Magik). This was before that high showing.

Gladiator has flexed and shattered his constructs.
http://marvel.wikia.com/Quasar_Vol_1_54
Think that's the issue. This was after that high showing.

Quasar is powerful but his constructs crumble under assault by high level bricks. Add to the fact that Teth's source of power is mystic in nature and this fight is going to end badly for Quasar.

Is Adam immune to non-magic attacks?

Quasar does not have a "special weakness" to magic. He just doesn't control it.

Every showing he has ever had, applies here. Except controlling an enemy's power.

Everything Quasar has ever been able to take and dish out, is fair game here.

And, Quasars constructs vary in strength, depending on how strong Quasar thinks he should make them.

The high showings in my previous post were simply examples of a situation where he made an effort to keep the groups away from each other.

And, he did it while hardly paying attention.

He doesn't have to have a "magic weakness", the simple fact of him being unable to affect Adam's source of power added to the fact that Adam is a high level CL100 brick spells DOOM for Quasar.

This is what Gladiator did to Quasar's quantum constructs that Quasar admitted to "making pretty darn strong", he was also CRUSHING Quasar through Quasar's energy aura :

Adam is at LEAST as strong, fast and durable as Gladiator with NO "confidence" dependency. I can't see Quasar winning this sans BFRing Adam into the Quantum Zone.
