Your power represents to him something more tangible than a God who would let his parents and other innocents die."

Phobos: "What are you doing, Amazon? He can’t hear you --!"

Diana: "But I think he can … can’t you, Batman?

Even as Phobos’ power lets you strike fear in the hearts of criminals – of everyone in Gotham City, including your friends and the people who you hold dear – I know you can hear me.

Because somewhere deep down – even if you don’t want to believe it, even if Phobos stifles every urge to EMBRACE my words …

…you’re more than some Dark Knight of fear.

I know you are.

I’ve felt it.

It's a nice speech, I'll grant you that. Though Diana is nothing if not an excellent wordsmith at times.

And yes, while I will accept that they do compliment each other, I don't believe it's enough to sustain a long-term relationship. A short term fling? Sure.

I would say more writers like the idea of Clark and Diana together than the alternative, but that's me.

2010-2011 felt amazingly like reading Spider-Man circa 1985.

I've never investigated, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if I were to learn J. Michael Straczynski (JMS) wrote the Black Cat (aka Felicia Hardy) storylines of that era.
