Without the bug, Sinestro still punked out a white light user who punked out a five man team that included Kyle, John, and fraggin Ganthet. *Rolls eyes*

Plus he beat down white lantern Kyle, and most impressively hurt Volthoom before even getting Parallax.

Of course, with the fear entity he slaughtered most of the Guardians (For which I almost forgive John his Sinestro wanking. Those blue bastards had it coming since the pre crisis era.),

But yeah, you're right to strip him of it against Cable.
