We know that Odin was beating the crap out of Thanos and that Odin showed Thanos mercy by allowing him the multiple panels needed for him to struggle back to his feet.

What does the comic show. It shows Odin basically tanking thanos attacks and bringing him to his knees. Then it shows that odin had ample time to continue his attack on his foe while he is burnt up oh his hands and knees. Instead he chose not to and let his opponent over the course of 7panels rise to his feet. Whether out of respect or mercy or whatever, odin could have attacked but chose not to. anything else is just guess work. Maybe he could have teleported and ran away matbe not. He might have been able to hide behind his shields and maybe not. Odin might have been able to kill him maybe not. Either way it's just speculation. Also U cant argue the fight never ende because it did. Unless they r still fighting now and I don't know about it. It may have been a short fight but a fight non the less, with a beginning, a middle and an end. It started with Odin whoopin azz, the middle was filled with Odin whoopin azz, and it ended with thanos azz whooped.

just because Odin is merciful and doesn't kill already beaten foe on their hands and knees doesn't mean that if he wanted to he couldnt.
