What was destroyed was far more than just a planet. Also Prime had to dig into Earth 15 for it to explode. I would consider a guy that could destroy a planet without hitting it directly to be greater than a guy who had to destabilize a planet by digging through its crust to make it explode. This is something that gladiator could do.
