Let me educate you a little on JIA's behavior right before I began to address him:
In a thread called Scientific theory and scientific method: Are they applicable to God?, JIA started in 2007 to basically shift the burden of proof from Christians to "scientists". Everyone at the time pretty much disagreed with him, with varying levels of politeness ("That's incorrect" to "That's stupid"😉. The thread deis apparently the same year. Then, apropos of nothing, JIA bumps the thread six years later. NOTE: This is pretty much indicative of his behavior before I began to debate him in any sense of the word, or even interact with him; spam links.

Read just that page. JIA basically bumps a dead thread of his (of which he has dozens) with a spam reply, meant at no one in particular. He also explicitly says Catholics are not Christians in that thread, and says this is because they, like Muslims, kill.
But really, he is such a nice, upstanding respectful guy. How dare anyone treat him thus etc.

^ This is crucial to understand where I am coming from in regards to JIA's antics.
It's not that he is religious or that he disagrees with me; it is how he does it. Specifically:
He does NOT respect others who aren't his brand of Christian. This extends to peaceful alternative religions, Catholics (the original Christians), Gnostics, and whatever isn't his unspecified but definitely not yours sect. It's one thing to say "I don't agree with your viewpoint, but let me try to refine mine" or "Let's agree to disagree" or "I made this thread solely for those interested in Christianity and would please ask non-believers to debate elsewhere".
His posts made judgment calls about homosexuals, about people who celebrate Halloween, about people who don't believe in God/Satan/Spirits, etc. He made judgment calls and subtly threatened people with Hell all over the religious forum. He, in other words, used this sub-forum as his own soapbox to preach his agenda, despite the express wishes of individual members besides Shaky and I, to cease. How is this upstanding behavior? Why is he suddenly the victim here?
If JIA felt the victim, he certainly never disengaged from the debate. No one here standing up for him was willing to take their precious time before and offer him support or try to mediate. It seems odd that they would champion him in his absence, well after the fact.
He argues adamantly against things like science as if they are enemies, but then says science supports the Bible's findings, because science is only legitimate when it conforms to your bias. This is trollish behavior if there ever was any.
He spams threads all the time, at one point with tons of links and embedded Youtube videos ad infinitum, in multiple threads all arguing the same fundamentalist Christian rhetoric. He earned a ban for this overt offense and ceased it, but whined about being unable to link things and calling things unfair (the reality is, he was not forbidden from linking; he was forbidden from spamming links unrelated to the subject at hand, with every reply).
Right before he got perma-banned, he apparently snapped and bump/spammed over 15 different threads (I took a screenie FFS). He even started replying to posts in inactive threads from as far back as 2007, as if the people had been patiently awaiting his small one-sentence reply all this time. It was mind-bogglingly awful behavior, unacceptable regardless of the belief system of the individual.
He ignores/dismisses any evidence that doesn't fit his world view. All the time. Without end. You could say "WELL QUAN DOES THAT HURR" and I agree, Quan does. But JIA wasn't banned for that as has been said numerous times; he was banned for ridiculous spamming, and was on his third and final ban after all these years. The fact that he vexed people with his inability to treat them with any respect at all is merely academic in comparison and relates more to why people like Shaky and I 'appear' to be bullies to all those people just coming in at the end.
When he went crazy and started spamming and bumping threads as if he had lost his Prozium for the day, he started posting stuff like this:

All those posts are not the posts of a mentally well-adjusted individual who respects others and is here to contribute, have fun, and connect with others. It is the sign of someone who is so deep in his fervor that he has taken it upon himself to be the extreme opposite of whatever position it is he feels is attacking him, regardless of reason and regardless of the impact on others or the consequences of this behavior.
Oh, and his first action after being banned was to make an obvious sock and try to repost in the same threads, trying to instigate again. :golfclap:

Bottom line, I highly doubt you know exactly what is going on here, so agreeing with Nemebro's blanket statement reeks of ignorance. And considering your own track record, which is far worse than mine (I have not, in any serious sense of the word, used a racial slur or been a bigot), it is entirely unwelcome. Your PM to "not make this a flame war" and whining about being 'flamed' because I brought up what you said here at KMC before is not worth a private reply. You chose to make a judgment call about me here, without even knowing me; now I'm replying in public.
