Young Justice

Is the Green Lantern show even worth watching? The previews made it look way too kiddie-corner for me, so I never tried.

Well the first episode has the villains murder someone in the first scene and then attempting to genocide a planet

Spoiler:
and if iirc, mostly succeeding
.

So, not really that kiddie-corner imo.

Yeah, it wasn't really kiddie in theme.

It was a decent show, it took me some time to get used to the art style, but i liked it in the end. The show had it's great moments, but for the most part i found it to be repetitive in it's action, inconsistent in it's representation of power Lanterns had, and overall teen-angst-y in tone.

If you're not into GL, i wouldn't bother.

The idea of it being better than YJ is laughable.

Damn it all to hell. I woke up thinking there was an ep of YJ on my DVR waiting for me to watch.

Wish they didnt cancel YJ but at this point I just wish they had some sort of early notice they were being cancel so perhaps they could of had a hour long final episode so they could cut out the cliff hanger/hint to next season and give us something big to leave off on. Black beetle no matter how formidable the green+blue beetle duo were supposed to be should of not gone down so easy. He stalemated mongul and had much more control and exp with his beetle. Horrible. A full scale 'invasion' type finale would of been cool. Something that would of required the whole jL and portion of the GL Corp to stop. Something like semi sinestro Corp with the reach calling in a crap load of scarabs from all over space in some sort of emergency extermination order.

Kay, so I'm around half-way through the second season, and is it just me, or has the ability of the team to deceive their opponents in their battles gone down because Kaldur does not actively lead the team?

It's not that. It's basically that they're fighting the smartest and most devious minds on Earth with almost no resources and no info on their end. It's a miracle they did as good as they did.

And yet Kaldur is currently fooling those very same people, and most of the League/Team. I dunno, he's probably the most strategically gifted member of the Team.

Also, damn, the last episode I watched had Black Beetle telling Cassie that she shouldn't feel jealous of M'gann being half-way through the door, and that he'd put her through the door as well was incredibly badass and sadistic. Sucked though, since I like Cassie.

Fooling the Light/Reach was largely due to his father willing to believe his son had finally seen things his way due to Tula getting killed.

Fooling the team and the league wasn't solely him. It was a plan mostly devised by Robin/Nightwing. I'm not saying he's not a great strategist, but you can't discount Dick.

People like Vandal Savage and Lex Luthor are not easily fooled, and Kaldur has iirc deceived them back in Season 1.

I'm not really trying to discredit or discount Nightwing, but do we really know that it was devised mostly by him? Yes he currently leads the team, and he does a heck of a job considering the roster, but back in the first season, Dick got a couple of opportunities to lead, and he never really worked around his opponents the way Kaldur did. Even in Season 2, when he knows the strengths of his team, he doesn't. No doubt he's contributed, but I think Kaldur's the mastermind behind it.

WB is considering bringing it back (along with GL) with fan support

They definitely should try to bring it back. I just finished watching the episode where Sportsmaster and Cheshire attempt to kill B.Manta & Kaldur, and I've gotta say, it was probably the best thing I've seen all year.

I love this show...it means a lot to me 🙁 if they bring it back i will start to believe again 🙂

don't toy with my emotions.

Any new,news?

IMO, they should dump GL and use that budget saved to make an even longer and better season of YJ.

Interesting.

Can't believe it ended after two seasons. It had more promise than most shows these days.

Which makes CN more stupid. How could they get rid of a damn good show!?
