Read some comics. Thanos is immune to death. He was destroyed while weakened and still came back. You don't read comics.

Two sides of the same coin. Oblivion needed Thanos as Death's avatar. Funny you would say something which bolsters my case. Oblivion needed Lord Thanos.

Actually they are both the personifications of vengeance . They are related to each other in the same way as Eternity and Infinity are related to each other .

Maelstrom wanted Thanos per Oblivion's instructions. They needed Thanos to stop the threat of the cancerverse.

Oblivion is a different side of the same coin as Death. Both or the coin if you will needed Thanos.
