Fantomex's Misdirect vs ......

all right, this guy really has me curious. i've read a FEW issues with him, but it seems many on here have a higher regard for his powers than i do. in this scenario, fantomex has established a misdirection/illusion. he is attempting to kill said character by making them see something/someone they trust completely in the hopes they will let their guard down so he can use saint of killers gun to put a bullet in their head from behind. who sees through the illusion in time to prevent being killed or does he kill everyone?

a win for the victim=his/her seeing through the illusion. the list is sort of a compilation of famously strong-willed characters and characters with a variety of enhanced sensory abilities. if you can think of someone who might be able to bust fantomex's bubble, mention him. i left off a bunch, obviously......the list was not intended to be extensive.

1. daredevil
2. betsy/psylocke
3. magneto
4. cyborg
5. doom
6. superman
7. martian manhunter
8. wonder woman
9. shaman nate grey
10. loki
11. silver surfer
12. classic strange
13. dr manhattan
14. odin
15. galactus

Gets to pre-reboot WW - I was under the impression that she was pretty much immune (or at least, was supposed to be) to this kind of trickery.

i was wondering about her immunity. i guess i need to know the nature of the misdirect. i'm hoping someone knowledgeable in fantomex will comment and show some scans explaining his powers, showing some high and lower feats to get a better gauge on the guy's abilities.

Yeah, her resistance to outside mental forces is exceptionally high as she was able to no sell Dr. Psycho and Maxwell Lord. She can also use the Lasso of Truth on herself to "see" the truth, as well.

his power worked on new AOA apocalypse:

so as you can see, the trend is usually him using his power to body swap, and from the first scan against the lady with the flesh eating beetles is that he doesn't really need another person present to swap with as he can simply make someone see another person in his place.

hrm. ok. still confusing. was the misdirect broken through sheer will power there?

you never did give an opinion on where his powers fail in this thread. you seem to know him pretty well pg, so.....where do you think he stops? what kind of power do you think could most effectively counter his ability? tp? tech? enhanced senses? will power? magic?

i don't know him that well, and his power is still pretty ambiguous to me, but his application of it that i've seen is pretty consistent

not sure about how he'd fare against guys like odin

another one:

fantomex most likely would have gotten wolverine out of there faster but he too was sick, however he still was potent enough to get the job done.
