I was disappointed after listening to all the hype.
Gosling played the strong silent type but that shouldn't be mistaken as good acting IMO.
The ending was a let down too...walking away from both the money & woman he cared for.
people were looking for that money.. and he just killed a whole crime "family".. people will be coming after him.. why would he jeopardize the woman he loved and her kid? seems like a good call..

The good acting was in his body language and facial expressions, and his ability to sell a scene and characters emotion without dialogue. He nailed it. Gosling should have got a best actor nomination for it. I mean... Clooney in the Descendants? Get out of here, the guy didn't emote a single time! Every time you thought he was about to the scene changed and the film cut to something else.Limitless. I thought the movie would suck because I hated Bradely Cooper but I ended up loving the movie and not hating Cooper nearly as much. The Eagle for the same reasons regarding Chading Tatum or whatever his name is.
IMO body language & facial expressions can easily be achieved by a good director & cinema-photographer rather than relying on an actor.
Yeah I enjoyed The Eagle too & Channing Tatum is an excellent example of both director & camera-man bringing more depth to his acting skills.
