I'll watch it in a bit 👆

So I was on my way to complete one of Venus's missions when I found a farming spot where Vex and Fallen keep spawning over and over really fast. Got me over 4-5 blue emblems. hmm

I'm liking this game man.

So how do I go about using those emblems? Should I put the light things on my current armors or what?

Armor with light?

I dunno. The whole light components thing. lol.

Armor that has light is what gets you beyond lvl20

EDIT: Also a "Mote of Light" is a currency

Yes, always trade up on light. The defense rating takes a back seat to more light. Even if its just a point or two.

The max light rare (blue) armors have is 15. After that, you have to get legendaries and exotics to bring up your level. From what I hear, you can only equip one exotic at a time, but it should have a ton of light.

Green and white pick ups will never have light. All your armor will be primarily blue (purple if you're fortunate enough to get legendaries).

It is a massive grind to get more light. The best way to do this is the strike playlist. Just keep grinding through strikes, and you will almost always get good gear at the end (as long as you're on a strike your level or harder).

Thats all I know about light so far.

Trade up on light? Yeah I noticed the blueness. What do you mean by trade up on light? Just equip whatever has light? Regardless of stats?

the more light something has the better

Yes. For example, say you have to chest plates. One has a 236 defense rating with 5 light. The other has a 203 defense rating and 10 light. Go with the 10

How much light do I need to lvl up?

Around 13 or 14

Aight thanks for clearing that up 👆

I grinded the hell out of the game last night from lvl 5 to 20. Got to 20 around 3am and passed out. So I'm all new, lost and confused about endgame shenanigans.

Removing attk power advantages makes weak people strong as hell? I dunno about that. It just even the playing field. What happens is that it all comes down to skill/teamwork. Which is something Bungie likes to promote. What happened was that the higher levels you owned simply sucked. I like the fact they removed the attack power advantages because it would not be fair and almost nigh impossible for noobs to beat seasoned players with gear 20 times more powerful than their own.

There are other advantages to higher weapons like fire rate, magazine sizes, scopes/etc.

That doesn't explain what im experiencing.
With people around my level its a firefight.
with people lower levels they can ohk with the most bs w
with an AR across the map while i have full health.
Im not saying its always lower level but usually it is. Ive also heard others mention the same problem

Hm. I'm thinking lag. There is a terrible delay/netcode problem.

So I now have an Exotic Weapon Bounty. Has anyone gotten one of those yet? To complete I have to do 5 strikes without dying.

lol no but I have friends that have exotic gear.

Cool. Finally finished the campaign. Anyone wanna spam strikes and PVP in quest for blue emblems, exotic/legendary ghear? I wanna make it to lvl 26 so I can participate in the first raid ><

What's the highest level achievable? I'm a level 12 Warlock.

Haven't had much time to play, due to work and family, but I just finished a Cosmodrome quest to defeat a Spider Tank and some kind of big, purple, mechanical orb. Pretty hard, IMO, even with a three man team. I kept dying like crazy until I found my niche.

20 for soft level cap(AKA you need to work/grind in order to lvl up) and I believe the hard cap is 30.

Played a bit tonight. I still think it's fun. I really enjoyed the music and sound, it's extremely well done and the combat is awesome.
