I don't like the PvP aspect of the game very much, though. I do not feel it is balanced enough.

And I don't agree with his notion that having to pay for DLC over the course of Destiny's lifetime is wrong. I do agree the current expansions coming out do seem pretty close to launch date and the price does seem high.
I do want better more meaningful patrol missions and I want a better loot system. But as for the overall story I'm holding out to see what future DLC holds because there are still enough hooks to keep me interested and see where they go.

???I was talking about crucible balance. Mostly in regards to dadudedemon's post.
I agree about the bullshit feeling crappy loot and rewards give. I been complaining about it in this thread for days lol.
Funny thing is I just found decrypted a cool legendary scout rifle. About FKN time.
Sorry, I thought you were talking to me.
Newjak, his point is exactly what you said. His major issue (which is clear) is that the story is ****ing garbage, nothing is explained aside from the opening sequence and it feel like it's all about the DLC when it comes to story.
I have no problem with story based DLC. For example, Bioshock Infinite two story DLC is fine because the game had a complete story. Destiny has no story and if DLC was released with a story, it clearly means we are suckers.

I'm Jelly.I have Purps and Blues and I just hit level 20. I have real life stuff getting in the way of dicking around on a video game. 🙁
Really didn't take much time. I got my exotic sniper and purple boots from drops(just really luck I guess lol) and I bought my purple chest and exotic gloves from vendors. Gonna buy my purple helm sometime this weekend.

Wait, you can buy exotic stuff?
I thought you could only earn that stuff.

I did not find myself disagreeing with anything he had to say about Destiny besides the multiplayer aspect of the game: I still do not like the PvP. This is why I think his game review is spot-on minus the exception I listed.

I'm thinking Blade Dancer needs to get some kind of nerf. It is too strong and versatile. Not asking for them to ruin it, but it feels like it is too much.
He stated why, in his review, why it is not "balanced" in PvP:
All perks or specials on weapons and armor should be removed for PvP games. Everything. All guns should be equalized from rate of fire down to damage. In other words, all hand cannons are the same. All snipers are the same. All auto-rifles are the same. bla bla bla
Also, special abilities should be removed. Lastly, class "perks" should not apply. There should be a set that everyone chooses from and there is a finite number of slots to assign those perks. This means Titans don't have more health, for example.
From there, you can start building more variety in the weapons such as variations on auto-rifle classes: some with lower damage but larger ammo capacities, faster reload times but smaller ammo, etc.
This is something that has been worked out and honed quite well in the Call of Duty franchise. ****, it started in the Quake franchise, first. How they managed to make such an unbalanced FPS PvP system, I'll never know: they report to Activision. 😐

lol no there is a vendor that shows up at random spots on the tower every weekend. He has random exotic gear every time he shows up. His stock usually consists of a Helm, Gauntlets, a Chest piece(all of random class types), a random weapon, and an exotic Engram.
The armor pieces and gun cost Strange Coins and the Engram costs Motes of light. This past weekend I bought the engram and it decoded as an Exotic chest piece for a hunter so I bought the Gauntlets since they were Warlock class type.
EDIT: Also the engram is usually 23 motes of light and the armor pieces are usually 13 Strange Coins and the Weapon is about 17 Strange Coins.

Interesting.
If only they'd make this game offline and allow the players to adjust how grindy they wanted to play this game...
I understand not having a game like Skyrim...but Skryim's loot system felt so much better. I probably logged 200 hours in that game with one character. I won't come close to logging 200 hours in Destiny. 😐 IDGAF if they are not the same games: they are first person games with leveling systems with loot systems. One game has a great story and a very lengthy story. The other has no story and a very short story. So what else can I compare? I need a crafting system that allows me to build my own exotic weapons. I don't want to grind for them.

A crafting system would be wonderful but right now I would just be happy with a trading system. I have a friend that rolls with a titan and he has a purple Warlock helm. Would be nice to trade with him.
There needs to be an auction house at least. I have so much glimmer from recycling all this Axiom gear shit I got, it's retarded. When I have bought most of what I really need around the tower and the local gunsmith sells only weaponry under 200 attack power, what am I supposed to do with all this money now?!

Four things in reply to that:
1. Do you know why you should never use a PowerPoint Presentation during a meeting? You'll get visual AIDS.
2. Do you know why you should never have sex with an alligator? You'll get gatorAIDS.
3. Do you know why you should never accept financial support from other nations? You'll get foreign AIDS.
4. Do you know why Destiny does not have a player-to-player equipment swapping system in place? You'll get trAIDS.

Haha.
**** PowerPoint, Excel all the way.
According to Bungie, they didn't add trading because they wanted players to feel accomplished when they get the good shit.
Which is a problem when the loot system is bullshit.
