The flutes, made from bird bone and mammoth ivory, come from a cave in southern Germany which contains early evidence for the occupation of Europe by modern humans - Homo sapiens.

Scientists used carbon dating to show that the flutes were between 42,000 and 43,000 years old.

As if the Germans weren't already bigheaded enough about all their classical composers. estahuh

Very cool, but does it go to 11?

Flutes aren't really metal, but I'm going to assume they killed the mammoth with their bare hands, because that would be very metal.

Was it a grammatical mistake?

1 grammatical error and a misspelling (or perhaps 2 grammatical errors, I'm not psychic, you know?!):

Aber wir retteten deinen Arsch im Vietnamkrieg!

So 'your asses' translates to 'deinen Arsch'?

No, "your ass" does, which is where the "not psychic" part comes in, if you want to say "your asses" you would do that this way:

"Aber wir retteten eure Ärsche im Vietnamkrieg!"

That would be correct, however it would be a bit uncommon, you would rather use the past perfect when addressing someone and say:

"Aber wir haben eure Ärsche im Vietnamkrieg gerettet!"

And now you'll ace that false history exam!
