help with old movie from the 60's ?

I saw it when I was a kid in about 1964. I think it was set during the French war during the Napoleon era. It was about a guy dragging a canon across the countryside. That's about all I remember. I know it's a long shot but maybe someone might know the name of this film? Thanks.

Sounds like 'The Pride and the Passion' from 1957 starring Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra and Sophia Loren.
