Saint of Killers vs DC's heavenly host

Simple ...

(round 1) stipulations (SOK gets the first shot)

(round 2) ready set go

SOK vs 2 angels (Gabriel & Uriel)

SOK vs Spectre

SOK vs Lucifer

SOK vs Michael

SOK vs Presence

This isn't a gauntlet, it's one at a time with a refreshed SOK.

Let's do it!

I doubt that he makes it past even round 1 or 2(as long as Spectre isn't jobbing) .

SOK vs 2 angels (Gabriel & Uriel)

he stops cold right here

Spectres pretty powerful, but he's been known to struggle with plot specific characters.. Madam Xanadu was able to bind the Spectreforce to herself. Ramban channeled holy magic, and was immune to his powers (But not from physical attacks). Even Captain Marvel and Black Adam were able to survive his attacks, and inflict some damage.

I could see SoK hurting or killing Spectre, given what he is, and any number of lower angels as well.. The buck stops at Lucifer, Michael, and Presence though imo..

Sok definitely beats the Spectre.

Tbh, if we're talking Vertigoverse Gabriel he could potentially win this alone, seeing as he was implied to be the only being close to Lucifer/Michael in power (he was one of the first 3 beings created by Yahweh, after FotF and I guess Dream/Destiny/Death), and although he has had almost no feats on panel, he was been seen to be able to warp reality, was implied to be far more powerful than FotF and was able to fight Lucifer, so clearly is one of the most powerful beings in all of the Vertigoverse, even if it's even more implied than the Vertigoverse usually is.

My basic thoughts when considering SoK is based on considering the extent of Preacher's God's power- he was clearly able to create an entire universe and empower everything within it, but that's still at the height of his power, where it was stated the SoK wouldn't be able to scratch him. As such when thinking about high end abstracts/characters from other stories, I tend to think that if they can easily warp reality/manipulate matter/energy etc on a universal or beyond scale, they should be able to take SoK.

This differs dramatically from thread with say Thanos (in which I thought SoK should win), because although the Preacherverse God doesn't really have offensive feats to match Thanos, he still created an entire universe and everything within it, a feat which is greater than anything base Thanos has ever accomplish or has been implied to do.

How do you both manage to acknowledge that the God that created the universe was far more powerful, too much so for the Saint of Killers to fight, than the one SoK killed, but then go on to say Thanos can't beat SoK because he killed a universal power?

Because Thanos isn't beating a skyfather power, let alone a universal power?

Don't drink Quanchi's cool aid. Thanos is the pinnacle of high end bricks with a Reed/Doom level intelligence. He beats top tier heroes without prep, not cosmic reality warpers or universal level powers.

Maker. You just don't know any better.

You don't know context.

Human body. Exploitation of that weakness.

Plus, Maker knocked out Thanos anyways, with only a fraction of her full power (Gladiator even said Thanos had survived worse, and a being capable of reversing the big crunch could surely put out more power than what we saw..)

You said he can't compete with reality warpers. Thanos easily drummed her and purposely kept her alive.

Thanos crushed a reality warper on a universal scale. That's a far weaker Thanos. Try harder.

Which "universal power" did Thanos kill on panel? My point was that Thanos at base levels has never matched anything like creating a universe.

Weakness exploitation.

The Maker handicapped herself with a frail, human body. She turned herself into a glass cannon.

That has nothing to do with the statement you said Thanos can't beat reality warpers. Many reality warpers have bodies.

Right, and the God that the Saint killed wasn't operating at nearly that level.

He created the Preacher-verse.

He was specifically pointed out in the story as vulnerable at the time so he didn't do so when the preacher supreme being was supreme.
