What you just quoted was my entire point: you're arguing about the quote's interpretation rather than accepting its interpretation and then arguing, "Well, I don't see any reference to combat ability in this sentence"...

Spoiler:
I am handing you the key to potential victory here, son.

Arguing about their arsenal implies combat abilities. Not to mention, everything was a response to:

Plagueis has been directly confirmed as more powerful than Bane...so have Zannah and Cognus and all those that followed

Since this is a vs. forum, it stands to reason that LS was arguing superiority in combat.

Not at all.

There is a distinct difference between power and skill, or even power and victory. One does not always beget the other.

When we say character A is more powerful than Character B in this subforum, the context is more or less understood.

no

Kas'im and Bane are a triumphant example of that. Due to the former's skill, Bane would have inexorably lost that fight had it not been for the environment (i.e. the temple).

We still wouldn't say Kas'im is more powerful than Bane. In fact, we know the opposite is true.

Mace beat Sidious, is he more powerful than Sidious?

Stop being so fvcking lazy, queer.

Ka'im is more powerful with a blade, or rather more skilled. If the implication is that character A cannot beat Character Y because "every sith is more powerful than the previous sith", that's a combat scenario.

Mace beat Sidious, is he more powerful than Sidious?

More skilled. And therefore more powerful with a blade. Semantics.

Seriously, ares is not a man to be trifled with. Things will get ugly. (And things are ugly enough with Beefy around.)

I thought it was his awesome vaapad that broke through Sidious' defenses and allowed boot to face. So whether you say he's more skilled or more powerful with the blade, it means the same thing.

Hmm.
