Gedirath isn't just a "Big Guy".

Think about the strength and power it takes for Gedirath to even move.

Think about the durability Gedirath must have to even stay in one piece.

Think about what is involved for something like Gedirath to even exist.

Why think about logical/valid points? Hulk smashes puny giant!!11!1!

Thought I'd post this because it gives a sense of how damn big Promethean Giants are. Prodigian is one of two named Giants (with Gedirath being the other.) Metron comments on his armor:

"The surface over which I now guide the Mobius Chair is a tiny section of his armor. To him, tooled and polished to be as smooth as glass--but to us, a savage landscape filled with mountains and valleys greater than those to be found on most planets."

Desaad also states that the voice of Prodigian feels like "ten thousand stars exploding"--and Metron doesn't seem to disagree:

...So take that for what it's worth. /shrug

THAT is very freaking cool.

It really doesnt take that much strength to move in space, there is no gravity...

If there were a planet big enough for him to fit on (a galaxy sized planet)
Id Imagine he would instantly die

or explode or something

Indeed. If they are that big, Hulk wouldn't register.

Two if not all three have Skyfather level strength imo Hercules defeated Cronus who was the King of the Titans Kurse has been said to be somewhere between 2 to 4 times stronger then Thor and Hulk destroyed Umar's realm which is imo a skyfather level feat

I agree. Hulk pulled a ft that no skyfather has shown with physical might.

Where do you want to draw the line, Carver?

At his size, he creates his own gravity. As does the Earth.

Only, on a much larger scale. His gravity will be at a MUCH higher level. Probably, comparable to Jupiter, since (although larger), Jupiter is a gas-giant, and Gedirath is solid.

So.... back to Point "A".

You didn't answer the question

When Metron and Desaad talked with one, the conversation lasted hundreds of years.

I reread the issue in which this happened, and I was wrong. The conversation didn't last hundreds of years, it was billions. Metron stated that, what felt like a minute to them, was actually the passing of hundreds of millions of years.

Why would I answer that though? I can't picture Zeus and Odin punching each other in the face with such force that it would melt everyone in Asgard UNLESS they did some serious amping.

Weren't the Promethean Giants intended to be DC's analogues of the Celestials ?

I'm not going to say that's not true, because some writer may have thought/said that, but I don't see the similarities.

In terms of size, the Giants are to Celestials as Celestials are to ants.

Only two Prometheans have ever made an appearance outside of the Source Wall as Galan mentioned -- Gedirath and Prodigian. Aside from both groups being large (albeit on totally different scales) and old as shit, there's really nothing similar.

What abou S'ivaa ?(credits for all the scans displayed below and in my next 2 posts , go to Guy222)

He was referred as one in this thread : http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=496911&pagenumber=1

However , I admit that in this case I could be wrong because I am not really well-versed in their history .

That thread seems to have a lot of misinformation. The only two named and confirmed Giants are Prodigian and Gedirath.

Yuga is a New God, not a Promethean. S'ivaa is something else entirely.

Thanks for the clarification .
