Odin controls asgard and its life essence, he can call upon the power of asgard at anytime and do anything with it, just like zeus and olympus(moving olympus to earth)Its not the same thing, whats more impressive? A being moving his own dimension or a mere spell from a human moving the beings dimension against its will?
Except that human/mutant was being possessed by Chthon himself , so that spell from the Darkhold was as good as performed by Chthon himself .

So your telling me thats as well as he would of done against the avengers if he actually came to earth from his dimension?
No.
If that was the case than dr strange would be as powerful as anyone he invokes,

Possesing someone does not mean they have all your power, chthon cannot use his true power through possesing someone, quicksilver who was being possesed by chthon was easily beat up by hulk and avengers. So your telling me thats as well as he would of done against the avengers if he actually came to earth from his dimension?

Dr Strange only invokes , he doesn't get possessed by the deities he invokes power from .
But yeah I agree that when possessing the body of a mortal host , he can't easily access the full extent of his mystic power .
However , I also can't shake the fact that those near simultaneous reality warping spells he wove in that particular arc , happened at such quick pace , because of Quicksilver's speed .
