What an awful choice. I'v had the displeasure of watching both The Man with the Iron Fists and House of the Rising Sun and he was utterly terrible in both.

It's worrying that they selected an actor of Dave's, uh, caliber.

Agreed. After his last two films he really needs to be part of a big blockbuster to get his career moving.

I trust James Gunn's decision for picking this wrestler turned actor for the role.

Although she seems like a marketing choice, she has the face and athleticism to achieve the role.

She just needs to tone up. Get some muscle tone. Her facial features ala Google definitely suit Gamora.
I think she's an excellent choice. I'd bang her in a heart beat.

This movie needs an A-lister at some point. The casting choices have been suspect so far. As excited as I am for this movie, the public may not be.

I think the casting has been fine for the most part, personally.

They really do need Jason Statham as Rocket Raccoon to make this movie awesome.

Chris pratt as starlord still has me scratching my head.

I thought the same until a friend showed me recent pictures of him. He has usually been overweight in his TV roles. But now he looks the part.

He definitely has the attitude and charisma. I believe he's going to surprise you.

Well I'm not saying he couldn't fit the role, it's just, what made someone think of him in the first place?

It's just the audition process. Once upon a time, Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth were unknown actors, coming out of relative obscurity to play Wolverine and Thor. Some roles seem best filled by relative unknowns, while others get established stars and character actors (Batman, Iron Man, Hulk)

Chris Pratt is a versatile, talented actor imo, and I have no issue with him playing Starlord.

Plus, the guy's a total nerd.

Yeah, I personally prefer unknowns as their less distracting than known actors. Of course, if a famous actor/actress suits the role then I'm all for it. All in all, it comes down to who best fits the role.

Jackman
Hiddleston

Interesting - though the modern Guardians roster is set, they are bringing back an original 1960's member, Yondu.

To be played by Michael Rooker. Huh? 🤨
