Technically they can't rip him apart as he has no actualy body, so there may be a chance he could win. <--- Thats the serious part.

He has a body, it's just invisible.

I don't think he has an actual body, more of a manifestation.

I see him as the wraith he is, meaning he does not have a body due to an insubstantial/incorporeal nature,, but he can still wear stuff, but it doesn't move. That would explain why his hood doesn't move when Aragorn throws a torch in his face, and why the torch stays there while he runs off.
