War of Words: Zatanna vs. Black Bolt

When the hell did Black Bolt become a high herald? If he's on that level, so is Z based on her feats.

You can make a case of Z being close to trans on her best day. Even the Justice League top tiers like Superman and Martian Manhunter are scared of her.

Black Bolt easily, he just has to make a sound, Zatanna has to speak actual words.

I was replying to Susano about being on Specre level. I think she would still be a notch below. Definetely powerful enough to take down high heralds.

She's a high herald who can use magical artifacts and conjure beings to amp herself to trans level, as seen in Seven Soldiers and any other trade in which she taps into the mystical resources of her home.

She beats BB because of the forum rules. Common knowledge of one another means she knows she doesn't have time to backwards speak, meaning she instantly teleports away from his initial whisper/shout or silently conjures a forcefield to protect her.

Why? She's definitely as powerful as, say, Superman, who is a staple of the high herald category. Once while possessed she warped the reality surrounding all of the moon. She can hurt star breaker, she regularly immobilizes Superman level beings with one word, etc. She's forcibly summoned Circe, the Spectre, Neron, Gwydion, etc.

Which trans being amped Z? Was it Merlin?

Okay, a few things about some of the posts I've read through.

Reaction times. I'm gonna need to see the evidence that BB will be able to speak quicker.

Concerning the Battlefield
Unless otherwise stated by the thread originator, the standard distance between combatants will be .5 kilometers in line of sight at the onset of battle, and there will be an implied "buzz" to signify the onset of battle. It will be assumed combatants are primed to go at the gun.

Also, all characters, regardless of where the fight takes place, or what universe/medium they are native to, will have full access to their abilities at optimum efficiency as they are depicted in their native universes. It will be assumed that each character fights as they are normally presented regardless of battle locale. As noted, this is the default. And 0.5 kilometers is a bit over a 1/4 mile. Around 1,500 feet. It will take BB's "voice" about 2 seconds to reach Zatanna. She says hsuh, yawa, hhhs, peels (sleep), etc. well within 2 seconds. I doubt she can utter her spell and avoid BB's attack. Double KO/loss, imo.

And I don't see BB screaming his loudest. He's still in character and wouldn't go for the kill.
