You can *meh* all you want, the truth is that brainiac 13 with the powers of a guy who has destroyed an universe on panel couldn't do jackshit to sundipped superman.

Mephisto isn't a physical being, so punching/burning/freezing/blitzing him won't do jack except make him laugh.
Mephisto, when not worrying about collecting souls, is right up there with high end cosmics (in his own realm). Even outside his realm, he one shotted Surfer and told him he could kill him on the spot but then he'd be denied his soul. Mephisto is all about the soul collecting.
If Mephisto didn't care about corrupting Superman to collect his soul, there is nothing Superman can do to win. Mephisto would crush him.
PS, that "pure soul" garbage only works against him if he tries to collect a soul he didn't corrupt first. So don't expect that to save Superman.
