STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Initiation

"Hopefully nothing," Rand says, calling his lightsaber into his hand; a black fancy hilt with a nasty horn or tooth on the pommel. "But, just in case..."

Rand's hideout is part of a cave network near the Dontosian surface. Rand has had to escort you out each time you leave because the caves are confusing; you would need ample time to concentrate your senses to navigate out, and even then, you are not sure if you could.

Once you are ready, Rand leads you to one of the cave entrances.

Vash accompanies, still short an arm but supplied with a new pistol.

Knowing Rianna and her abilities at the moment, likely not.

She'll keep her - Myraline's - lightsaber in hand, then...she feels more comfortable simply having a weapon again.

"Just how big is this cave system?"

"I'm not sure," Rand says. "I'm a Dark Jedi, not a geologist..." He closes his eyes. "But I do sense that they go on for some ways."

Rianna is impatient to get this done with, so she's heading on.

Off you go! You quickly realize that the bioluminescent fungi start to thin out as you leave Rand's hideout, appearing in sparse pockets here and there and only dimly lighting the caves. Rand pulls out his lightsaber and washes the dark passages with its sanguine light.

"Stay alert," Rand says.

Shortly, you come to another 'room' like the hideout, but obviously lacking in medical supplies and creature comforts. Two passages branch off from here; one that leads off to the right, and one that leads downward.

Rianna will be using her sense all the way, of course, as she doesn't trust Rand and doesn't like any of this.

"Which way?" she asks when they get to the branch.

"Too easy," Rand says, feigning boredom. "Vash?"

Vash studies the two passageways briefly, and closes his eyes.

"... the one that descends," he says, after a moment.

Rand turns to you. "Rianna?"

What do her senses tell her is the better idea?

Your intuition says... that you are not sure. Maybe the downward path. Do you want to agree with Vash or disagree?

"I'm...not sure...I think the one that descends..." Rianna says. "Let's try that one."

Down you go! It is actually a steep decline in the downward path, so you have to walk sideways and take care with your footing so as not to go stumbling down into darkness.

The tunnel deposits into another open room, strewn with rocks and glowing fungi. This time, you have three paths to choose from; all seem level and branch off in three different directions- northeast, east, southeast.

Hmmm...anything in particular her sense are saying?

Picking East unless her senses disagree or the others start going another direction.

Your senses are less certain, but Vash's appear to agree with your decision. You choose the eastward tunnel, ducking into the narrow passage. The damp, moldy rocks around you reflect the light from Rand's lightsaber, casting everything in an eerie red glow. It reeks of dank sea water, more so than the surface.

You come to another antechamber, with a tunnel leading straight on or one leading right.
