I hope that isn't what he is talking about because no speed was given on how fast they were going and it was a reaction ft for Flash only anyways (even though it was a good speed ft for Superman senses).

First scan, you can clearly see his on-trend for 2007 gladiator sandals being fused into the ground.
Scan 2, and every scan after that, he has his sandals still.
Either he carried a spare pair, can transmute air into fashionable footwear...or he just ripped his limbs out.
