I can't deal with it anymore.. We just did a few hours time skip where Nate's character got better before anyone else.. Our characters were apparently still injured even though he had the bloody worst of it.. And my nemesis character wounded him; of course I didn't expect him to die, but he just healed a wound that as a novice he shouldn't be able to heal.. I can't deal with this anymore, it's just ridiculous.. I'm not insulting Nate, but I can't tolerate the posts he's making.. I know my posts are bad too but, at least I try to listen to people when they want to express their opinion on it instead of just bluntly ignoring it.. is that so wrong?
UPDATE: I love the idea, honestly.. The idea of this kind of RP is brilliant to me, it works out well whether it is original or not.. It's not the RP I have a problem with, it's the characters in the RP and one character is enough to make it bad for me. I did try asking if he could fix a few things that he was doing that I didn't exactly enjoy.. he ignored them and went on doing it anyways..
That was time we could have used to rally the evil people and do a discussion between them.. It also like I said doesn't make sense for Nate to be awake when his injuries were the worst.. and again, the rest of his body healing over time is understandable but that eye was too badly damaged and you started regenerating flesh as a novice who doesn't specialize in magic..
its more than me being a novice in magic its kinda like this (or i can change the last post to say he saw somone strange and that person healed him aka the person who puts us on the quest to get stronger) well magic changes betwen pepole and even though im a novice fighter in my backround my dad was a docter and i helped alot in his clinic since i was young so ive been practicing healing magic alot but only recently did my dad start teaching me how to fight but well if you want me to change it so that somone else heald me or that that was a dream or it started deterating and i needed to put on an epypatc you can say that but also one of the reasons i woke up faster was because starry heald me more because of the sevarity of the injury i just dont want you to go it whould start distabalising cause everyone else might go and if pepole dont go it whould be more boring
I understood half of that. I've done a lot of magic RPs, Games, Seen, and Studied it. Healing magic is very possible, for a novice its difficult but still manageable. The act of healing you like that would mean regenerating flesh, tissue, all of it. It would take an experienced mage with strong healing magic to do something like that. That's one problem. If you want to fix it to my liking, just say that it started deteriorating which means that on the quest you would have to find someone who can heal it. Maybe have Starry or yourself while we stop for camp from time to time heal it up a little so that your entire face doesn't fall off.. remember, he hit with darkness. Darkness is Curse. Cursing your flesh and making it rot constantly. He's also a very experienced magic user, so it would take experienced healing magic to fix it. The same goes for Shota's leg wound and Donny's side. They can only delay it. It can't be right away either. The key to a good RP circles patience.
Next, while we're on the topic of patience, you need to learn it Nate. You realize that when you do something and then I make a post from a character like Black that affected multiple people you didn't even give Scenario the time to respond. Neither did you give Starry or Reg (though since he's gone for now that ones fine) the time to jump in before you made a whole bunch of new movements. If the action only involves you and someone else, doing that is fine, but when it involves all of us then you're making them miss out and they won't have fun, then they won't want to do this.
I broke a few rules myself, specifically I'd want to say auto-hitting, and even though this doesn't excuse that one thing that I did that you should include is going back to OOC (aka this page) and both reading and posting about your movements. I mentioned; whoever runs in will be taken out quickly, after they leave, someone pulls them out of there, etc. If anyone wanted to be included in that, I recommended they post. One thing that you did that you should NEVER do in an RP is take control of someone else's character and you've done that multiple times. You did that when you arrived to say "hi" to Shota and Annie by saying what their reaction were to him which the reactions you said were completely out of character for both of them. You said that when Donny was trying to pull both Nate and Shota out of the attack by controlling Donny and having him run for cover. You Can't Do That. If you want to try and control someone else's character, the ONLY (I repeat) ONLY acceptable way to go about doing that is first Private Messaging or Posting in this place, ASKING them first if it's okay if you make their character do something. Now.. you can recommend it, if I may use Starry's character as an example..
Example: Shota smiles and looks at Annie, with a hint of interest. "If you were watching over us, why didn't you come down and say hi?" Shota questions before she steps forward and teasingly whispers to her. "I could have offered you more fun." Shota chuckles before stepping back from her, hoping to have spurred an excited desire for Annie to explore.[/Example]
But again, those are only "suggestions" that you post. You can't manipulate other characters without the players permission no matter how anxious you are. If you can't accept those kinds of things, you're going to upset the RPers around you and they won't want to play with you.
About the next move...
I figure that since we were pushed into a time skip, that we at least got a slight understanding of some things. Annie, Donny, Faust, and Shota should have been awake first. Though healing was done extensively first to Nate, Shota's damage was just a hit to the head and a scratch across the leg. Annie was worn from energy use. Faust took no damage. and Donny just took a hit to the side and the side of his cheek. Shota and Nate would have been the ones passed out longest as they took the most damage but Shota's wounds weren't bad enough to keep her out of the game.
Right now I think that they should have set up a camp maybe a mile out of the city. Since Annie seems experienced with it, I think she should have something set up to throw off their trail so that Dominus' monsters can't track them there. Donny is the fisherman so it's assumed he knows something about hunting at cooking to some extent so I would trust that Scenario can post about the food. Shota was learning about survival, so she would have set up the camp. Made a fire, found a good location for them to rest. Faust can be on guard, since Reg isn't here and he asked me to control his character, if we put him on guard duty (as he seems to fit) then he won't talk much. Nate is the assumed "Main Character" of the story and since he would have just waken up, he can confirm with everyone what just happened and figure out where we go from there. After we decide what to do next, we'll do a "End Day Scene" where everyone goes to sleep (except for who ever is on Guard Duty).
While our good characters are sleeping, we can do a "Swap" where Dominus' Evil forces are maybe... in control of a tower that they converted and made into their Dark Headquarters. A small scene issuing in on their plans for the future and what their next line of duty is. Maybe we can have Starry's Nemesis character set to to intercept the Good Characters on their next location by accident, meaning... Nate says that we need to go to "The City of Blank" and Dominus orders that character to go to "The City of Blank" as a Representative. An evil decree so to speak.
What does everyone think? Nate, don't post until we get this figured out. Right now this is all a huge confusing ball of confusion and I need to get it straightened out before I can think to post myself.
If you pay attention to the OOC, to peoples requests, and the notes that they make then you would be surprised how easily you can avoid the more drastic mistakes. Small mistakes are easy to ignore. We all make them. I'm trying to avoid the larger mistakes... like rushing into the center of a city that you said was 3x the size of New York (which is ridiculous by the way, that needs to be much smaller) in a matter of seconds.
Would somebody mind providing an official character skeleton? Also, I think it might do well to make a character thread like ws done for the old tournament. That way everyone can quirky find their profiles without hack g to dredge through pages of OOC chatter. I'll make, I just want consensus before I do so.
i changed it to the size of 1 ( reg told me how big even one whould be) and it wasent like you guys were at the gate so i just ran and there was a couple of post before i actualy got there anyway but ill try my best and i will also look through that rp so i can get how its done so if i make it uninjoyable just tell me and ill try to fix it anyway why hasent anyone posted on the main rp
