Character Assassination

A fanboy with a grudge and a deep pocket book wants to do an on screen rape job of Spiderman rivaling Superman Returns and Dark Knight Rises. George Lucas Chris Nolan, and Brian Singer are busy collaborating on a Star Wars rape fest, so the choices are Michael Bay, John Wu, Joel Shumacher, or Peter Jackson. Which director would be best suited to pull off such a task?

How was the Dark Knight Rises a "on screen rape job" of Batman?

Batman would NEVER fake his own death so he could go live the high life with Catwoman, Talia does not have the same origin as Bane, and Bane is not an Occupier. The thing that irked me the most though was Robin. If they wanted to bring him in and they already had Talia then Damien Wayne would've been the logical choice. IMO.

"Screen rape".....

More like "alternate story".

Batman hasn't been portrayed as a boy scout since Adam West.

Every title of Bats gives him a different personality, some darker than others.

This thread stinks of disgruntled Batfan.

spoiler alert

Oh, and when someone accuses Bruce of being Batman he doesn't immediatly confirm their suspicions and then invite them in for a chat.

So you didn't like the movie.......

Get over it and go watch something else, geez.

If Nolan had invented the character than it would've been a great movie. But what he did to Batman at the end would be like making a Mein Kampf movie and turning Hitler into a born again Christian. I would also stipulate that Keatons Batman was the closest to the actual comic. At least movie wise.

Well, besides the fact that Batman, of perhaps all characters, thrives the most off of character reinterpretation and various incarnations for various forms of media, we'll just have to strongly disagree with the "on screen rape" description.

Yes, Keaton gave the criminals of Gotham his permission to die.
