We didn't see enough to MM 1M to flesh him out. Its hard to gauge him. A problem with many of the 1M characters.

yo Id, do you feel that Nate might be repowered to his shaman levels in the future? or even his pre shaman levels at that? or do you feel his current state is a permanent move?

The Current writers, plan to repower Nate. It will be part of a big plot in New Mutants.
