A good ol' fashioned decapitation or a stab to the skull works, too... it won't kill any of the GRs, but can drop them.

Also even if it hasn't been retconned, would it make this fight that much easier for Ghost Rider? All he has to do is hit Wolverine with one blast to KO him. Considering the standard starting distance, I don't see how Wolverine could close the gap.

In that instance he wasn't, more going off of that stuff is retconned. He did have a demonic defense, but when he became Hellverine it seemed to be ignored or retconned. Not picking who should win or lose, but those chains that even held Dr.Strange would be potent.
