The basic, and really cool premise of quantum immortality is that if according to the many worlds theory everytime chance, choice, or the influence of others causes multiple different worlds to exist where all possible outcomes occur, in the case of our deaths, our consciousness will always end up in one of those worlds where we did not die.

It's a bit more complicated than that, and may only 'work' at the quantum level, but it's still a neat idea.

I literally bounced my face off frozen dirt (was like -20 C out) at 70 mph, not factoring in the whiplash involved, once. 😐 I came out of it mostly unhurt, except for the bleeding. I have that moment of silence everytime I get drunk and start thinking about the universe, lol.
