Yeah I think Zombie Link is bigger than he was in life
Mostly because I have a hard time retroactively thinking of OOT Link as that tall. Culturally, I've never known the Japanese to give us protagonists that are super tall.
Most of the popular fictional heroes (Goku, Cloud etc) are like 5'7" - 5'9". It's hard to be kawaii if you're tower over people, you know.

You get similar numbers by comparing him to the Master Sword.
He's represented as ****hueg in TP as well as in OoT shrug When they reused his model in MM for FD Link it didn't even fit through some doors.
Couldn't everyone else be quite small, and him normal sized?
I mean, doesn't his height come out to 5'7" if you use that in-game metrics that are in that one tank of water?
I am leery of scaling using the Master Sword, just because we're going back to a very old system to do it. I doubt the proportions of the whole thing are the same as more detailed versions of it from consoles after the n64.

OoT Link towers over the kokiri by double or more their height, he barely has to look up to Gorons, he looks a bit ridiculous on Epona due to his size. shrug Sure, the N64 had limmited graphical capability, but OoT Link is clearly represented as much larger than TP Link when he resurfaces in TP.

**** E3 man.That's too big a stretch.
Only other thing I have to look forward to in 2014 is the new Godzilla movie.
that and maybe hopefully finishing my respect thread, which going to take even longer once I get accepted for my Masters and get in to school again. 😬
Edit: We need a place for respect threads for non anime/comic/game characters, I really want to make one for Celestia and Luna, and another for Discord.

Link might indeed be tall for his world.
But if Link in OoT is seven feet tall, Ganondorf is pushing ten, lol.
Guts seems to be the most famous outlier at a little over 6 something.
His archetype is more in line with the typical big glaciers that you'd have in a JRPG team. The guys that aren't the main guy and don't get much focus. But are huge and powerful, supposedly on the latter, but they don't get much screen time and are usually outshined by the weedy protagonist later.
Originally posted by NemeBroCould just be Early Installment Weirdness, I honestly doubt they had set heights for Ganondorf or Link in 1998, lol. Then again who knows, but the most recent time we saw Ganon he was smaller than in OoT and then a whopping 5 years later was said to be 7'6". PArt of the problem with cross game scaling is the massive timer dfieence between them. Shit changes.

SS Link is explicitly short, though, it's not odd to have a tall Link, too, espeially since he is represented as so much visibly larger than TP Link.
