Kyle was melee fighting all the time. That was like half his thing.

The other half, was using clever tactics like sending an emp pulse right down the throat of a power armor user who was immune to GL energy from the outside, or discretely sending a beam around the outside of a building and through a window, to nail someone in the eye that had a hostage.
