Yes and no.
If you look at some straight h2h combat comics, you'll come across stuff that you simply can't suspend disbelief away from, like a badly executed cross armbar or technique that simply shouldn't work.. For the average guy that doesn't know anything about sword fighting, suspension of disbelief is not an issue, but I can see where Srank is coming from...
