I was always under the impression Ichigo was completely useless unless his *****'s life was on the line.

Even then, he dies. Blackheart is probably one of the top 5 magical demon entities in Marvel when he's written correctly. I believe he once nearly ripped the Earth in half with TK alone.

I'd have to poke around to find it, but I think it was one of the first times he was seen after Mephisto f'd up and created him in the first place.
