Well, from a narrative aspect, it would have made sense before, seeing as he is Oliver's most trusted friend, and someone who has put on the GA suit before. However, as things stand, it is dumb as f***, and Diggle is an a**hat. He should have immediately told Oliver about his shoulder and how he already nearly got Rene and Dinah killed. But nope. Seriously, what is it with CW characters and keeping important secrets from their closest allies?
Also, a lot of the fight sequences in the first two eps have been kind of lazy. The fights against fodder basically involve Team Arrow members tossing/flipping/shoving guys to the ground for a KO. And it's not even like a lot of them are particularly hard impacts either. They get put on their back once (many of them don't even take a single hit before this happens) and that's it. Seriously, I have seen people take harder hits when falling out of bed without being knocked out.
Originally posted by Ridley_PrimeI think the whole, it shoots arrows not bolts is a way to be like oh look he's using arrows it's really the GA.
I think, especially after this last episode, that Diggle as the Green Arrow will be temporary. The crossbow suits him though admittedly but people should also start suspecting why the GA went from a regular bow to a crossbow.
cameras, police officers present during a field mission, bystanders, criminals who get away before being killed or apprehended... not to mention the detective investigating him who for some reason has a hard-on for uncovering his secret identity.
there are many ways he could be caught not using a bow.
Makes up for the latest Flash episode at least...
Still been enjoying the season so far apart from the current direction with Oliver, so I’m willing to give it the benefit of a doubt, after how much I enjoyed the last season which was on par with S1 and 2 IMO.
I just feel like the main plot (at least so far) is something that has been overdone a bit. The secret identity investigation thing is hardly a new concept, and is something that's even been done on this show before. So, it hasn't really hooked me.
On a random note, poor Green Arrow. Other heroes, like the Flash, are idolised by the masses. Even have drinks named after them. In contrast, the Green Arrow is constantly treated like a menace.

That whole sequence was excellent, tbh.
