I guess that panned out after all. Only catch is, the multiplayer will only be split-screen for the Xbox version, while the Switch online version has online play.

Will still try to experience both versions at some point though. A small price to pay for Bond finally being back I guess.

Really...that's very strange that Switch will have online while Xbox does not. You would think it would be the other way around...but I wonder if it's part of a deal between MS and Nintendo.....

Still strange...but looking forward to it.

Sony: this deal would have major negative implications for gamers and future of the gaming industry.

I mean nevermind Sony bought two of the biggest anime streaming giants that would in no way curb future anime stream services from rivaling am I right? And paying Square Enix to not put FFVII Remake on Xbox and buying Bungie, concerning Xbox players of Destiny's future on there? Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy.

Yeah. Usually when Sony acquires something related to gaming (a decent studio or hell even EVO) or something outside of gaming (anime streaming platforms and such), people don't say anything, but when Microsoft makes one power move of their own, it becomes "That's too much!" or "That's not fair!".

The anti-trust investigation on MS acquiring ActiBlizz is only delaying the inevitable, regardless. Said investigations never really stopped Sony and others from buying something big.

I don't really see how it's anti-trust when this purchase still doesn't make Microsoft the leaders for games. I think that's still Sony and Tencent??

Honestly, Call of Duty is huge but I feel it's less relevant than it used to be...I would think going after Ubisoft would be a better move....

Though, having Blizzard under MS does make a huge amount of sense with Game Pass on PC.

Interesting how Jim Ryan whines "but Xbox owning Call of Duty will influence what system to own!"

And this wouldn't count in the slightest?

inFamous, Jak & Daxter, the older God of War games, Syphon Filter, PlayStation can be remaking MediEvil 2 after the first one they made. But Horizon Zero Dawn! That needed tackling again.

I don't have a problem with the game getting a PS5 upgrade/remaster. Microsoft does this already with its Smart Delivery feature...but it needs to be free for existing Horizon Zero Dawn users (I believe it's BC capable.

I love when companies release free visual upgrades to existing games. I have played a few on the Series. Doom Eternal Series X patch looks amazing and Microsofts FPS boost is damn impressive for some of the older games. It's actually disappointing when playing existing games that dont have some sort of patch or FPS boost or auto HDR.

That being said....if Sony doesn't do that (release it for free) then **** them. And if it's a remake (not remaster), what the ****.

Today I tried to buy something on the PS3 store. After a bit too much frustration, this is what I did that actually worked:

-Made sure PS3 was activated as primary PS3 console for games.
-Added funds to PS account through browser on my pc.
-Removed payment methods from PS account. This step is important.
-Went back to store, went to cart and it finally let me pay.

All so I could play as Catwoman in Arkham City.

I'm a massive fan of Zero Dawn and Forbidden West but I won't be paying for an upgrade that will be barely noticeable.

But then I won't be buying any upgraded old games with maybe the recently announced The Witcher 1 because I never played the 1st one.

The entire industry is becoming a complete joke but its almost understandable because scalpers have completely destroyed demand for new games because hardly anyone has been able to get the new consoles. So rehashing old games is a cheaper way to get big titles that will still do well financially.

But they can count me out. I've had my ps5 for 6 months and still haven't bought anything since the same day I bought the console and that was Far Cry 6 and my free Forbidden West upgrade. Might get The Quarry now that it's down in price and the only 2 games I'm interested in in the near future are The Callisto Protocol and Forespoken

I don't mind remakes for much older games where they make wholesale changes. The recent run of Resident Evil remakes are OK in my book.

This type of shit though....**** them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Horizons 1...or Last of Us or something like that. If you want to remaster it....release it for free as a bonus to existing owners (and obviously sell it as well)..then sure. But not like this.

Witcher 1 is rough and I couldn't get into it....If they remake it and it plays like Witcher 3...then sure!

I would pay all the money for more Infamous. Those games were so fun.

That or Prototype or Crackdown, all were good for different reasons..

Saints Row 4 beat them all though. They could have taken that and done a good JLA game, they nailed The Flash.

The building where Crackdown was made is now my gym...

Congrats to the winner of this year's GotY:

On my name as Clinton. . .

What female characters would you like to see in Smash?

No Metroid Primes, few quality first party titles, Mario Odyssey not able to hold a candle to Galaxy, and what does exist is overpriced.

Was snowed by a friend buying a Switch but can see the Wii library was superior in every way.

So a little sad looking at the gaming industry right now.

If you want cheap gamea you pay through the nose for a gaming rig, or you settle on low spec potatoes and sub par gameplay.

If you want a console you pay 500-700 for a Playstation 5, and 70 bucks for each AAA title.

If you want Nintendo, you pay cheap up front and live with no sales on first party games until your collection exceeds the cost of your console by game 4 or 5.

If you're really cheap, like I am, I guess there's the digital only Xbox thing, and the Gamepass. You own nothing, and your fun lasts as long as your subscription.

I miss the 90's and Funcoland prices.
