OF Thor vs Avengers

The same Rulk who killed Grandmaster, punched out Uatu, and killed the Defenders and stole the Power Cosmic from Surfer. And Thor promptly kicked his ass in round two.

Not sure why people think Thor's showing against Rulk lowers his stock any, especially when Thor's feats in his ongoing speak for himself and anyone who's read the relaunch and then compares it to Thor's "normal levels" can clearly see a difference in power level and formidability.

That said, while Thor promptly one shots or basically destroys Iron Man, Wonder Man, Ares, and Ms. Marvel, Hercules and Sentry won't be as casually dismissed.

its' like you envision herc and sentry just sitting watching, while IM, WM, ares, and ms marvel stand in line as thor hits them one at a time

too bad thats not how actual team gangups work

thor would be preoccupied the first second with sentry bumrushing him

herc would help sentry take him on close quarters and the others would be offering range support

Anyway, off to deconstruct this post.

Firstly, I didn't say Herc and Sentry would be standing there watching nor do they have to be in order for Thor to one shot their teammates (which is well within OF Thor's capability to do so).

I'm aware of how teams fight in comic books, kthanx.

And he'd promptly hit him away ala Siege (in which we didn't see Sentry again for several pages). And that was a weaker Thor than this one.

Hercules would likely be tossed away from Thor, provided he stood on the ground and didn't fight from on high using storm control. Even in close quarters, Thor would beat down Hercules.

You're wrong and delusional as usual. He stands a sporting chance considering OF Thor's fight with the Destroyer Armor and the Dark Avengers and Bor.

Thor's best feats include tanking an attack which actually killed his non-powered up form (the Destroyer's disintegration beam) and enduring an attack that would have outright killed him without the Odin Force. Both happened on panel and both feats clearly and unquestionable display the difference between Classic/Current Thor and Thor with the Odin Force. So, wrong on the account of his best feat being recreating Asgard (though it is a good feat to be sure). If the Destroyer or Bor and the Dark Avengers couldn't put down OF Thor, no single person here can, especially when Thor can destroy all but two people here without much effort.

Hulk was fighting Rulk to a standstill and then OF Thor returned and by Rulk's own admission, nearly killed him. He went as far as to thank Hulk for interfering "saving" him from Thor.

So, yes, pretty much wrong by all accounts. Par for the course, I suppose.
