Neither is the imperiex force. The whole point of bringing it up was to show he can absorb things much more powerful than the phalanx covenant. So, the claim that phalanx can absorb brainiac 13 is silly.

He didn't link with brainiac 2.5. He overrode the brainiac 2.5 erasing his source code which happened way back in his first appearance.
