which movie is biggest hit of 2012?

Obviously Avengers.

The Avengers. The Hobbit will be big but probably nowhere close to Avengers. Same for Twilight who might have lost a few fans as result of the whole cheating thing.

Avengers was pretty big.
The comic tie ins were awesome,merchandise,etc.
The Dark Knight Rises was big also.The shooting in the theater did not stop it from achieving it's fanfare.

Avengers no doubt, it's the 3rd highest grossing movie ever, behind Titanic and Avatar

Indeed. Avengers was the most entertaining as well as successful.

They managed to beat the shit out of Batman and Prometheus,
for me this year.

I am looking forward to 2 and 3, not sure about 1 though 😛

My sister says the Hunger Games made the most money of any non-sequel film in a long time. I find that very hard to belive though. I would guess eith The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, or The Hobbit.
